So you diligently followed the instructions here for how to get your horse ad link on Facebook. Your posts on Facebook look great and take people to your more detailed ad. Everything is great!
But then you got new and better photos and you updated your ad here with those new photos. Of course you want one of them to appear on your new linked discussions on Facebook. However, it doesn’t work! Your old featured image still shows on Facebook but not on your ad!
Yep. Facebook stores those photos somehow. Darn it!
There is a fix. Nothing works 100% on Facebook but I’ve had good luck with this.
Go to the Facebook Scaper Tool https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/sharing/
It’s simple. You just paste your URL into the only box on the page. Click the Debug button. (Take a moment to feel like a programmer. 🙂 )
Does your new featured image show on the resulting page? If not, just keep clicking Debug. I’d guess I usually click it FIVE times or more before it gets the new photo. But what the heck, to show off those great new photos, I can click and click.
